Union Commerce and Industries Ministry will chalk out work plan for investments in Automobile and Pharmaceuticals sectors in Uttarakhand.

New Delhi/ Dehradun, April 30:
Union Commerce and Industries Ministry will chalk out work plan for investments in Automobile and Pharmaceuticals sectors in Uttarakhand. Union Commerce and Industries Minister Anand Sharma during his meeting with Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna issued instructions to the Union Secretaries for the same. Chief Minister Bahuguna, meanwhile, put forward several proposals from State Government's side to the Union Minister. Representatives of industrialists will visit Uttarakhand in the first week of June to explore possibilities of investments in industrial sector. Mr. Sharma said that he would also come to the state along with the representatives.
Mr. Bahuguna revealed that the state government was giving priority to the development of basic infrastructures like roads, power and banking to attract more investors in industrial sector. He said that residential areas for factory workers would also be developed in cheaper rates. Chief Minister Bahuguna also urged the Centre to return 803 acres of land previously given to Nepa Limited in Hema, Udham Singh Nagar District.
