By-election for 68-Sitarganj constituency will be held on 8 July 2012. Secretary and Chief Election Officer Radha Raturi issued the schedule for the By-election on Friday.
According to the schedule, notification would be issued on 13 June, while, last date of filing the nomination is 20 June. Scrutiny of nominations would take place on 21 June and the last date for withdrawal of candidatures is 23 June. The polling will take place on 8 July from 8 am to 5 pm, while counting of votes would take place on 11 July from 8 am. The election process would be completed by 13 July.
With the declaration of By-election, the Model Code of Conduct has come into force with effect from 8 June 2012 in Udham Singh Nagar District.
