The Central Government has increased the Kerosene quota of Uttarakhand. With assurance to increase the quota further, for the time being, it has been pegged at 1500 KL per quarterly.
It may be noted that Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna had apprised the Union Petroleum Minister Jaypal Reddy about the necessity of the state. The Centre Government had not only increased the Kerosene quota but has also assured to increase it further.
Chief Minister Bahuguna has expressed his gratitude towards the Union Petroleum Minister and expressed his hope that State would get similar support regularly from the Centre in future also.
