Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has expressed his grief over the road accident at Champawat District on Wednesday in which two persons died and three others were injured. In his condolence message, Mr. Bahuguna has prayed for peace of the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family members. He has also wished for an early recovery of injured persons.
According to the State Emergency Operational Centre, Truck (UK-3 CA-0223) with 5 passengers was heading to Tanakpur from Lohaghat. As it reached near Amru Band it fell into a deep gorge at 2.20 pm. Two persons died on the spot and 3 others were injured. The injured had been admitted in the Primary Health Centre, Tanakpur.
