Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna called on Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and congratulated him for being chosen as candidate for the Presidential post of the country.
Mr. Bahuguna said that Mukherjee was a political leader of great stature with no comparison. He said that Mukherjee was a good friend of his father late Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna. Mr. Bahuguna said that in his leadership the nation would get new direction and would benefit from his long experience of various works undertaken by him during his political career in different ministries.
Also present on the occasion was Uttarakhand State Congress Committee President and Irrigation Minister Yashpal Arya.
