Forest Department would provide land for disposal of garbage.

 Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna said that a proposal for regularization of unauthorized colonies would be presented in the Cabinet. He said that Forest Department would provide land for disposal of garbage.
 Chief Minister Bahuguna said this while reviewing the meeting of Urban Development Department at his residence on Thursday. He said that all unauthorized colonies would be regularized so that the residents of these colonies get ownership right. He said that garbage dumping zones would be made outside city area for which Forest Department would provide land.
He laid emphasis on improving financial condition of local units for which taxes would be imposed on city buses entering the city area and responsibility of operating buses given to local units. He directed the officers to ensure that no unauthorized hoardings were displayed in the city and authorized hoardings be displayed at only allocated places. He said that the government was preparing policies for housing and township. Mr. Bahuguna advocated constructing multi parking complex to redress parking problems. He said that better coordination be maintained amongst various undertaking agencies involved in construction works.
 Mr. Bahuguna said that traffic signals would be installed in all the squares and multi-story parking constructed in the city. He said that measures would be taken to make city lush and green.
 The meeting was attended by Urban Development Minister Pritam Singh Panwar, Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain, Principal Secretary to CM DK Kotia Principal Secretary PWD S Raju, Secretary Finance Radha Raturi and other senior officers.
