The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Statistics and Programme Implementation Shri Srikant Kumar Jena has said that as per information received from Deputy Commissioner, Mandya, the details of funds recommended by different MPs, the amount sanctioned and utilized in Mandya district of Karnataka during the last three years, is given at Annexure.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today he said, some complaints regarding delay in implementation of MPLAD projects in the country have been received in the Ministry. The complaints are mainly regarding non-sanctioning of recommended works within stipulated time and delay in execution of works by the District Authorities.
Shri Jena said, wherever delay in implementation of the MPLAD Scheme is brought to the notice of the Ministry, the concerned State/UT Governments are directed to inquire into the matter and take appropriate action against the officials responsible for delay.
