Rs.1264 million Dollar help by ADB to uttarakhand

Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna assured Asian Development Bank of all possible cooperation in its various projects of infrastructure development in the State. Executive Director, ADB, Ashok Lahiri called on Chief Minister at his residence on Thursday and apprised him about various works undertaken by ADB in the State.
Mr. Lahiri said that ADB has undertaken development projects of drinking water, sewerage and others in sectors like tourism, transport, power and urban areas. He disclosed that construction works worth Rs. 1264 million Dollar
had to be completed out of which projects worth Rs. 507.95 million Dollar was underway presently. He requested Mr. Bahuguna for technical assistance and availability of skilled human resources for Project Management Unit for execution of these projects so that entire amount could be utilized and projects completed in stipulated time frame.
Chief Minister Bahuguna said that the state in fact needed development works in the area selected by the ADB and that all necessary assistance would be provided to ADB. He directed the officers concerned to make all necessary arrangements for the same.
