Hyderabad:(Page3 News Network)-In Andhra Pradesh, relief operations are underway in full swing in the rain hit areas of Coastal and North Coastal districts while several parts are still reeling under threat of floods. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy who visited the affected areas today has assured all possible help to the affected people.
He visited rain-hit areas and interacted with flood victims in Krishna, East and West Godavari and Khammam districts. He also assured that farmers including tenant farmers who suffer crop losses will be compensated after proper enumeration.
Local authorities have been directed to take all precautions to prevent water-born diseases to spread around in the affected areas. Hundreds of villages and towns remained waterlogged and about 70 thousand people are taking shelter in relief camps in 15 districts. Local authorities are making all out efforts to restore the snapped power supply, road and rail connectivity in the affected areas.
The district authorities have been put on alert following met officials warned that heavy rains likely to occur in some districts of Telangana and North Coastal Andhra region for next two days.
