New Delhi:(Page3 News Network/Newsonair)-The Election commission today rejected Janata Party leader Subramanian swamy 's plea seeking derecognition of the Congress party. Taking serious exception to Swamy's allegations questioning the impartiality of the Election Commission, also rejected the Swamy's allegations as completely baseless. The commission said, Mr. Swamy has failed to show that there had been any violation of model code of conduct.In his petition, Swamy had contended that the Congress should be de- recognised following news reports that the party had loaned 90 crore rupees to Associated Journals Ltd.
Responding to the Election commision's rejection of his petition, Mr. Swamy said, it was on expected lines and he would approach the court on the matter.
